@ 13th and N Streets, NW:
A girl is waiting for the elevator when we walk up and press the down
button. She looks at us in exasperation:
“These elevators suck! I have been standing here for 20 minutes trying
to get to the 8th floor, but every time I press the button, the
elevator just stays still!”
We were on the 8th floor.
