Crossing the Potomac on the metro this morning, a young tourist girl pointed at Rosslyn and asked, “What’s that?” Her mom responded, “I don’t know. Maybe Richmond.”

They were looking at the facade of the National Portrait Gallery. At 7th and G St. Some distance away from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Just landed at DCA and people are getting on their cellphones. A twenty something female is loudly blabbing into her phone, “I totally saw the White House when we were landing…..yeah, big dome thing that looks like a penis.”

Yeah, they just let anybody in there now.
